William J. Black (Jeff), Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Black is a Founding Member and Managing Director of parent company, Cantaro Capital, LLC. He began his career as an investment analyst at Financial Network Investment Corporation, a subsidiary of ING. In 2001 he founded and managed his own real estate investment and asset management firm, managing over $200 million of real estate, alternative investments, and small business assets by 2007. He served as president of Tribunus, LLC from 2007 to 2009 where he was responsible for managing and servicing a $490 million privately held portfolio of secured loans for distribution to investors in Europe, Asia and the United States. Jeff became CEO of MidCap following Cantaro’s acquisition in 2009 and is responsible for its recapitalization and restart, and the execution of its strategic business plans. He is a graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Richard Mount, Founding Member and President
Richard is the founder of MidCap, and has spent his entire career in asset-based lending. In 1964, he organized the asset-based Lending Department for Connecticut Bank & Trust Company, which, at the time, was the largest commercial bank in Connecticut. Since 1978, he has founded and served as CEO of several asset-based lending companies. Richard is a Director of the Commercial Finance Association, New York, and a past member of the Advisory Board of the University of Connecticut’s Small Business Development Center. Richard is a graduate of Northeastern University and The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration Executive Program, Dartmouth College.

Peter Rutigliano C.P.A., Senior Vice President, Senior Underwriter
Mr. Rutigliano’s career in asset-based lending has spanned over 20 years.  Over the course of his career he has been a field examiner, managed credit, customer relationships, and teams of analysts for Fleet Bank, Affiliated Business Credit Corporation, First Union, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo Bank. Prior to his career in banking he worked for several regional public accounting firms.  Peter is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.  He is focused on deal structuring, analysis, and field exams. Peter joined MidCap in 2011.

Nancy G. Walz, Vice President, Relationship Manager
Nancy currently manages MidCap’s loan portfolio, which includes daily loan and collateral monitoring, risk management, and loan documentation. Nancy has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking and asset-based lending. During her career, she has worked in operations, auditing, field examination, portfolio management, and loan workout. Nancy received her education at Stonehill College and Manchester Community College.

Seth A. Cooper, Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer – Northeast
Seth is responsible for new business development throughout the Northeast. He has spent the last 15 years building asset based businesses for both large regional banks and independent commercial finance companies. He is a former board member of the CT Turnaround Management Association and is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association for Corporate Growth and the Commercial Finance Association. Seth received his undergraduate degree from Elon University.

Beth Braznell, C.P.A., Vice President, Business Development Officer – Florida
Ms. Braznell has over 16 years of asset-based lending experience, consisting of field examination work and business development.  She started her career as a field examiner focusing on small cap transactions with Presidential Financial.  Her business development efforts have focused on the middle market with Capital Business Credit, Regions Bank, and Wells Fargo Business Credit.  In addition to her experience in asset based lending, Beth practiced in public accounting for over 6 years, focusing on business valuations.  Beth has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Accounting.  She joined MidCap in 2011 and develops business in Florida.

Mark D. Schroeder, Vice President, Business Development Officer – Midwest

Mark brings a wealth of experience in creating custom asset-based lending solutions for companies. Previously he served in a business development role for JP Morgan Chase Bank, LaSalle Business Credit, and Textron Financial among others. Mr. Schroeder has an MBA in Finance with Distinction from DePaul University in Chicago and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois. Mark is the Founding President of the Great Lakes Chapter of the National Funding Association. He has served as Treasurer and Vice President of the Ohio Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association, and is an active member of the CFA, Ohio Venture Association, and Turnaround Management Association. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Recovery Resources, a major Cleveland non-profit.

Stephen Bellingham, Vice President, Business Development Officer – West Coast
Stephen is responsible for business development in MidCap’s Western region. He has over 20 years experience in sales and business development for investment banking and insurance businesses. Stephen is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association for Corporate Growth, and the Commercial Finance Association. Stephen received his undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Providence College.

Stephen W. Jardine, Vice President, Senior Credit Analyst
Steve is responsible for review of periodic financial information of both clients and prospects.  Steve has a broad background in Commercial Banking and Asset Based Lending dating back over 25 years, with experience in Credit, Loan Review, Documentation, and Portfolio Management.  Steve is a graduate of Georgetown University.

Gabriel M. Tai, Junior Credit Analyst
Mr. Tai is responsible for review of financial information from prospects.  He received his undergraduate degree in business administration with concentration in finance from the University of Washington and went on to pursue an MSc in Financial Management from the Bradford School of Management/TiasNimbas Business School in the Netherlands.  Gabriel joined the MidCap team in 2011.

Scott Hohenschutz, Collateral Analyst
Scott is responsible for the collateral analysis functions of MidCap’s loan portfolio and for prospective clients. He has been with MidCap since 2007 and has worked in operations, marketing, and credit before being promoted to his current position. Scott received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans.

Laura DiSalvo, Operations Manager
Laura is responsible for banking relationships as well as reconciling daily activity including customer account adjustments, generating weekly and month-end reports as well as increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of all operational functions.  She has been with MidCap Credit since 2008 and started as a Client Service Representative before being promoted to Operations Manager in 2011.  Laura received her undergraduate degree from Central Connecticut State University.

Alicja Mielcarek, Operations Assistant
Alicja is responsible for daily processing activities including check processing, file upload and importing, sales and collection reporting, advance request transactions and data entry.  She interfaces with existing customers and staff on operations related matters in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly.  Alicja received her education at Tunxis Community College.

Elm Sebas, Accounting/Treasury Manager
Elm has been with MidCap since August of 2005.  She began as Operations Assistant and now holds the position of Accounting/Treasury Manager.  Prior to her employment with MidCap she owned two cottage industry businesses in addition to providing independent bookkeeping services for the majority of her working career.
